Urdu Labs is on an ambition to become the worlds largest resource library for the Urdu Language content and research. The project is still a work in progress with its first iteration released in July 2022.

Project details
Urdu is an Indo-Aryan language spoken chiefly in South Asia. It is the national language and lingua franca of Pakistan. In India, Urdu is an Eighth Schedule language whose status, function, and cultural heritage is recognized by the Constitution of India; it also has an official status in several Indian states.
The language is behind in research and development as well as abundance of resource availability. The project aims to cover that by producing the latest software, content, fonts, research resources, translations and more.
Extract “glyphs” for UTF8 fonts with their IDs. This is powered by OpenType NPM module that helps create Urdu characters that can be used to generate customized calligraphy and signatures.
